Mark Tungol is a 2nd year learner in the Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) program at UCSF’s School of Nursing and he is expected to graduate with his Masters of Science in Nursing this upcoming June. He has aspirations of becoming a critical care CNS and has high hopes to climb the clinical ladder to nurse executive one day. His desire to be a leader for change is fueled by his passion for helping others succeed. Mark currently practices as a dialysis nurse for six hospitals across three health systems in the Bay Area. He specializes in performing several types of renal replacement therapies and apheresis procedures within the acute and critical care setting. Mark also engages with additional leadership roles for his organization as charge nurse and preceptor. When Mark is not studying or working, he enjoys exercising, listening to music, and fulfilling his duties as President for the Associated Students at the School of Nursing.
