The UCSF Health Department of Nursing is proud of its strong culture of clinical inquiry. Nurses spearhead research, quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and innovation projects across patient care settings at UCSF Health -- from the ambulatory clinics to the critical care areas, and in neonatal patients to geriatric patients. They share their successes with wider audiences through professional presentations and peer-reviewed publications, advancing scholarship within the nursing profession. These activities are recognized as part of nursing excellence through the American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet Recognition Program®.
The Research & Scholarship team at the Center for Nursing Excellence & Innovation is composed of PhD-prepared nurse scientists who support nurses at all levels in their clinical inquiry – from brainstorming ideas and developing research proposals; to assisting with data collection and analysis; and disseminating results through abstracts, posters, and manuscripts. The team includes UCSF Health and School of Nursing faculty members, who are part of our academic-practice partnership.
