Michael Shalginewicz, RN, MSN, CNL is a nurse at UCSF Mount Zion in Pre-op/PACU. He graduated with his nursing degree from Castleton State College in 2012 and his master’s in nursing from Sacred Heart University in 2018. His specialty is in cardiac medicine and surgery patients and has worked at University of Vermont Medical Center, University of Washington Medical Center, Virginia Mason Medical Center, UCSD Medical Center, and now currently UCSF Medical Center. He transitioned from Transitional Care to Intensive Care which led him to begin working in the peri-procedural setting. This transition led him to begin working in Pre-op/PACU where he has worked for the last 4 years. He has a passion in improving patient care outcomes and reducing recovery time in the PACU.
