Rong Xiao, BSN, RN DNP student at University of Maryland Baltimore School of Nursing Ms. Rong Xiao, an accomplished registered nurse with 11 years of experience in both the United States and China, is currently in the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program at the University of Maryland Baltimore, expected to graduate in May 2024. Having earned two Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees—one in China and another in Australia—Ms. Xiao is deeply committed to advancing her expertise. As a dedicated Student Nurse Practitioner at the University of Maryland Baltimore, she brings a passion for patient care and a commitment to lifelong learning, ready to make a positive impact on healthcare outcomes. With a diverse clinical background that includes roles in adult medical intensive care unit and adult emergency department in China, Ms. Xiao has dedicated the past 7 years to delivering exceptional care in the United States. Her roles have extended from Medical-Surgical Units within in-patient setting to community nursing care in Maryland and Washington D.C. These experiences have equipped her with a unique skill set and a global perspective on healthcare. At the conference, Ms. Xiao will present her DNP graduation project, focusing on implementing postpartum depression screening in a pediatric primary care office. She is eager to share the valuable insights and experiences garnered from her project, excited to interact with fellow conference attendees, and welcomes questions and conversations that contribute to the knowledge-sharing atmosphere of the event.
