Esther Rov-Ikpah, RN-BC, MS, CDCES, ADM-BC is a diabetes care and education specialist at UCSF. She has 13 years of acute care nursing experience as a bedside nurse, 8 of those years at UCSF. More recently, she has been in the diabetes care and education specialist role for 5 years at UCSF, supporting patients with diabetes and nurses caring for patients with diabetes. She is interested in improving diabetes care delivered in the hospital, specifically around diabetes discharge education and decreasing the incidence of hypoglycemia related to medication administration for inpatients with diabetes.
