Since entering her undergraduate studies at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Hannah has always been fascinated by the world of health and medicine. As a biology major, she spent hours poring over anatomy books learning about the different body systems, their parts, their functions, and how they all worked together. Hannah’s interests eventually led her down the path of becoming a master’s prepared registered nurse through DePaul University and subsequent training as an acute care nurse practitioner at New York University. She also completed post-graduate training through UCSF’s Surgical and Critical Care APP fellowship program. Hannah’s nursing career over the last five years has spanned multiple urban cities including Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco as well as a variety of clinical specialties within cardiology, cardiac surgery, and critical care medicine. Hannah now works as a critical care nurse practitioner here in the medical intensive care unit at UCSF and is excited to continue in collaborative pursuits of innovation and inquiry in the nursing profession.
