Meghan began her career at UCSF in 2007 as a new graduate nurse and, during her time in our Birth Center, has been promoted along the clinical ladder to a Clinical Nurse IV. She obtained her Master's of Science in Advanced Practice Perinatal Nursing in 2012, completing the Perinatal CNS program with a minor in Global Health. Previously, she has been the Interim CNS in the Birth Center from 2020-2022 and has worked on quality initiatives in the unit to improve care for pregnant and postpartum patients and their families. She is an active member of the national obstetric nursing professional organization, AWHONN, and helps organize the annual AWHONN California Section Conferences. Meghan is also both an AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Heart Rate Monitoring Instructor. She is passionate about multidisciplinary education in Obstetrics and staying current on the literature to bring it into practice. Meghan is very excited to be continuing her career at UCSF in her most recent role as the Perinatal Outreach Educator since 2022. Meghan is married to Brandon, an Adult ICU nurse at UCSF, and they have two wonderful daughters together: Brenna 4.5 and Maren 1.5 years old.
