BSN, BSBA, RN, 2023 UCSF EBP Fellow
Teena O’Brian, RN, BSN, BSBA has 15 years of service with UCSF where she started from the front desk, promoted to purchasing analyst and finally moved to research while attending nursing school on an investigation titled, “Older Adults Living Alone with Cognitive Impairment”.
Currently, Teena is a Clinical Nurse II on the 9 Long Transplant inpatient unit with complex kidney, liver and pancreas transplant patients. She has served as the Staff Engagement Ambassador and Fall Champion with her work on her Evidence Based Practice Fellowship titled, “POWER Rounds: Safe Mobilization and Fall Prevention". Her future plans are to train for charge nurse and apply for her CN III promotion. Outside of the hospital, she is also a volunteer at the San Francisco Food Bank and Rock Medicine. She loves live music, traveling and trying new restaurants.
