Maureen "Mo" Smyth, BSN RN, has been a Registered Nurse for 18 years and a cannabis educator for 5 years. Towards the end of her nursing career, Mo noticed that American patients weren't getting better despite advancements in medicine. It seemed like Americans were getting sicker. When Mo started studying cannabis and its medicinal properties, she became passionate about understanding how it interacts with the body. This led her to teach others about cannabis therapies, focusing on harm reduction, patient safety, and wellness. She helps healthcare professionals understand how patients use cannabinoid therapies and simplifies complex medical information for consumers interested in cannabis. Mo also advocates for preventative health and wellness through lifestyle management.
