Alicia Bacchus, DNP, MSN, FNP-BC is an American Association of Nurse Practitioner Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Dominican University of California, in San Rafael, California in 2008. Following graduation, she practiced nursing in tertiary level hospitals specifically in the areas of Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and Ambulatory Surgical Care. In 2013, she returned to school to obtain a Master of Science degree in Nursing at the University of California, San Francisco where she completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program in 2015. As a devoted life-long learner, Alicia returned to graduate school at the University of California, San Francisco to obtain a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in efforts to become a better patient advocate. As a Nurse Practitioner, Alicia enjoys collaborating with patients and their family members across the lifespan to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care. She currently works at Columbia University in New York City in the primary care setting. Her past clinical experiences as a clinical nurse practitioner include working alongside genitourinary oncologists at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City, where she provided compassionate, comprehensive cancer care to patients with bladder, kidney, prostate, and testicular cancer diagnoses. She has also worked in the urogynecology setting treating female patients with a diagnosis of urinary incontinence and pelvic floor disorders. Honors and Awards Alicia is a current member of The Alpha Eta Chapter of The Sigma Honor Society of Nursing. Personal Life In her free time, Alicia enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and exploring different cultures.
