On behalf of the UCSF Health Professional Development Council we invite you to Certified Nurses Day!
Certified Nurses Day is an annual day of recognition for and by healthcare leaders dedicated to nursing professionalism, excellence, recognition, and service. This event is hosted by the Professional Development Council, one of the core Magnet shared governance councils. The goal of this day is to promote professional certification for nurses interested in getting certified, as well as celebrating nurses who are already certified.
Topics of discussion and presentation will include certification journeys:
- Keynote presentation from Maddy Pearson, Chief Nursing Executive and Vice President for Patient Care Services
- Presentation from HR representative, Joshua Naftel, to provide an overview of the differential compensation process
- Panel of certified nurses from units across the health system to promote the certification process
- Special presentation on new Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) Scholarship
This event will be offered in a hybrid format with in-person attendance provided at 2001 The Embarcadero and a Zoom webinar option available.
