Ellen Butensky James, PhD, RN, PNP-BC has been working in pediatric nursing for 35 years. She completed her undergraduate and master’s degrees at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. She earned her PhD at the University of California San Francisco School of Nursing’s Department of Physiological Nursing. She has been a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for almost 30 years and is currently working in the Pediatric HIV Program at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland, having recently returned to pediatric HIV care after time spent in Hematology and Gastroenterology.
