Foundations for Excellence in Healthcare Leadership Program
The Foundations for Excellence in Healthcare Leadership Program is for early career leaders interested in enhancing their own leadership capacity to effectively lead teams and navigate the administration of health care.
Program Structure
The hybrid learning experience includes in-person sessions in San Francisco and additional virtual sessions focused on learning and mentorship.
Monthly learning sessions focus on key leadership competencies for health care leaders with less than five years of leadership or management experience. Pre-work assigned prior to the learning sessions prepares participants to dive deeper into the content by reading relevant articles, taking leadership self-assessments, or watching short videos. This structure allows participants to have a baseline understanding of key concepts so that the live sessions focus on enhancing knowledge and engaging with other participants and expert facilitators around the content and how it applies to their own work.
In addition to the learning sessions, mentorship is a key component of the program and begins with the Mentorship Workshop. This workshop provides content on the value of mentorship and how to setup the mentorship relationship to be successful. All participants will be matched with a senior health care leader who will meet with them monthly throughout the program.
The Foundations for Excellence in Healthcare Leadership Program is best suited for clinicians, administrators, or other employees who work in a health care organization and have up to five years of leadership or management experience.
