Excellence in Nursing Professional Development Program
The Excellence in Nursing Professional Development Program is a seven-month initiative for current and aspiring nursing professional development practitioners. The program is ideal for those looking to enhance their nursing professional development skills before or after sitting for the NPD-BC exam.
In alignment with the Association for Nursing Professional Development scope and standards, the learning sessions led by expert UCSF faculty focus on the following topics:
- Foundations of Adult Learning Theory and Curriculum and Pedagogy in Nursing
- Learning Outcomes and Objectives
- Educational Content Development and Program Design
- Teaching and Facilitation Strategies
- Evaluation and Assessment of Educational Activities
- Simulation and Debriefing in Clinical Nursing
The in-person sessions will be structured to reinforce concepts introduced in the workshops, explore these learnings in the context of the participant’s role and future career aspirations, and provide other real-world examples.

Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be awarded 28 contact hours of nursing continuing education credits.

- $4900/participant. Group discounts are available for registrations of 5 of more. Please email [email protected] for additional information.
- The program fee includes all program related materials. Overnight accommodations and meals are not included in the rate. Hotels near the venue will be recommended to those who register for the program.
