The Applied NPD Approach: Putting Concepts into Practice

The Applied NPD Approach: Putting Concepts into Practice is a live virtual program (14 contact hours) designed specifically for Nursing Professional Development practitioners. The workshop provides a comprehensive overview of key NPD concepts illustrated through real-life examples that enhance learning and provide practical context. Participants will both learn and apply these concepts, making the program valuable for those seeking to strengthen their knowledge and implement practices more confidently within complex practice environments at their healthcare organizations. The program is ideal for those looking to enhance their nursing professional development skills before or after sitting for the NPD-BC exam.

In alignment with the Association for Nursing Professional Development scope and standards, the learning sessions led by expert UCSF faculty focus on the following topics:

  • Foundations of Adult Learning Theory and Application to NPD Projects
  • Developing Effective Learning Outcomes and Objectives
  • Designing Content and Curriculum
  • Innovative Teaching and Facilitation Strategies
  • Evaluation and Assessment of Educational Activities
  • Sustainability and Marketing

Learning Outcomes
