Why Join This Program?
This immersive two-day Evidence Implementation Workshop is designed for doers, changemakers, and problem-solvers ready to move beyond “knowing” to making it happen. Through a dynamic, hands-on learning experience grounded in implementation science, you will learn how to translate evidence into real-world practice using practical strategies like stakeholder mapping, team engagement, and small-scale tests of change.
You will leave the workshop with a ready-to-use action plan, sustainability strategies, and clear pathways to share and spread your practice change. Along the way, our distinguished faculty and your colleagues will spark innovative thinking about how to create efficient, effective practices that elevate clinical care, improve patient outcomes, and strengthen health care systems. Whether you are a nurse or part of an interprofessional team, this workshop equips you with the confidence, tools, and strategies to lead meaningful change where it matters most.
What You’ll Gain:
Develop a formal practice change by applying the evidence-based practice process.
Discover and adapt implementation science strategies for affecting behavior change at the microsystem level.
Construct an outcomes management plan to evaluate outcomes from the change in practice.
Formulate a formal sustainability plan to make the transition from new practice to standard of care.
Create a dissemination plan to share outcome results within the practice environment and externally.
Who Should Apply?
This program is ideal for nurses and interprofessionals who are ready to move evidence into action along the EBP journey. If you are motivated to implement a real practice change, collaborate in a small, focused workgroup, and leave with a concrete action plan, this workshop is for you.
Whether you are still shaping your practice question or already have a clear project in mind, there is a pathway designed to meet you where you are. Participants should come prepared to fully engage, think critically, and contribute actively to hands-on exercises that bring evidence to life.
Two Preparation Pathways
- Option 1: Exploring a Practice Focus
Ideal for participants who do not yet have a completed synthesis table with a defined practice recommendation or project topic. The Leadership Institute will provide a sample practice recommendation and project topic. You will develop a generic plan to explore that can be applied to various clinical topics. - Option 2: Ready to Implement
Designed for participants who have already completed a synthesis table with an identified practice recommendation and project topic. You will arrive ready to dive in with a clear focus for implementation.
If you are ready to commit, collaborate, and transform evidence into meaningful change, this workshop is your launchpad.
